In Feb 2006 we had a 10 day trip to Tassie, hired a Mauri sprinter and did the East coast. Came back home and started looking for our own motorhome … the bug had bitten …
We purchased our bus in July 2006,happy with the 2004 fit out except for the single beds (walk passage to the back )… after a couple of long weekends trips I was frustrated having all the leads and outdoor stuff inside as we had no boot. So I ripped out the back half, put in a proper gas bottle compartment and repositioned water storage.
We now have very comfy double bed, practical boot and seats beside bed. The driver and passenger seats have been replaced with commodore seats and we have made a few electrical upgrades.
New number plates and on the road again … All the mechanicals are standard.
Additions still to come are new TV some more overhead cupboards
We took the bus back to Tassie March 2007 and went down the West coast and up the centre, all good. A few 3 and 4 day weekends since, and a 6 month trip going north planned winter 2008
